EMEGA's unique Castor Foaming Polyurea yields 4x more than the typical Polyurea

EMEGA's patented castor-oil based polyureas define extraordinary physical properties regarding elastomeric strength, resilentcy, fire resistance, chemical resistance, toughness and overall durability (See SP Property Tables). All SP Liquids are designed as 2-components reaction systems to form high strength protective barrier skins. Liquid SPs are generally utilized in demanding Military, Aerospace, Industrial and Commercial applications.

EMEGA's polyureas reaction system yields very high molecular bond energies per geometrical area. This extreme tight bonding gives the SP superior resilentcy when subjected to very high external energies as that encountered from blast explosions. Heat of explosion energies are absorbed by the barrier skin then quickly released. This energy absorbing capacity is related to its molecular bonding distribution within the skin thickness. Superior barrier skins translates to thicker skins and excellent substrate bonding as the more energy the system may absorb and dissipate. The magnitude of energy distribution increases nearly linearly until ultimate burst strength occurs which may exceed 120 MJ of initial energy.

EMEGA's castor-oil based polyureas reaction systems are relatively instantaneous as solidification ocurs within 5-30s. Special pumping and spray equipment is required to initialize the reaction and deliver the mixed liquids to a form surface. Special care must be excercised when working with these liquids regarding moisture, contamination and handling safety. Moisture control and surface containminations must be properly handled to ensure excellent SP substrate bonding. Adhesion promoters are used to prepare surfaces for all SP applications.  Field spray application is known as Field Applied Bonding (FAB).

All EMEGA's castor-oil based polyurea are packaged by volume in 55gal/30gal drums and 5gal pails. Liquid pumping/spray machines, safety equipment and clean-up materials are listed in Equipment Table.
